Judgment Based On Books Kipnuk the Talking Dog (Kipnuk the Talking Dog #1)
The Author of Kipnuk the Talking Dog is Heather Wolf, a California resident who since childhood always dreamed of writing children's stories. Heather has been actively involved in the snow sports industry through snowboarding and mushing. She is a lover of animals and has coached children's sports for many years. After miraculously surviving a near fatal snowboarding accident in 1999, she decidedThis is a classic story about a cute, lovable, little Malamute with a big heart that saves the day. He's just a puppy, but along with his friends, he gets the job done. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with young children. Heather, I look forward to your future books. Keep up the great work!!

I thought this story was really cute. Kipnuk's determination to be one of the team makes him into a hero. Enjoyable easy read.

Picture book received courtesy of Goodreads.com First Reads GiveawayUgh...I'll start with the pictures. All of the pictures were photos that were cropped together. Very unpleasant and unengaging for children and adults. The writing was just OK. Way too much explaining what was happening rather than letting the words convey the images. Sadly, I won't be able to add this one to a classroom library.

I also want to add that Kipnuk was determined to be part of the team and help his buddies out.The story starts when he is to small to be much help though. It takes him through to the moment he becomes a hero through sheer determination.

I received Kipnuk the Talking Dog as part of a Goodreads giveaway.Kipnuk is a cheerful puppy who dreams of the day he'll get to lead a sled. Despite his best efforts, though, he's just too young. But when trouble threatens his friends, will the determined little pup be able to save the day?The story itself (the most important thing) is very sweet--well paced and easy to follow for little ones. However, the presentation leaves something to be desired. The pictures are pretty blurry and out of
