I read this book because I was looking for something a little more light-hearted and fun than my recent literary diet of grim/dark fantasy, thrillers, and horror novels. I've read Alex Bell's two adult novels and liked them immensely and Lex Trent did not disappoint. It was a fun little novel, reminding me quite a bit of Artemis Fowl, except that Lex is more of a blue collar criminal and more self sufficient that Artemis ever was.
