Magicians Mayhem is the story of Tobin and Darcies quest to find out who is responsible for causing so much destruction and mayhem in Elden Forest. Tobin is trying to get to the bottom of what caused the destructive explosion in his backyard and Darcie is searching for her missing magician grandmother. The two embark on a journey filled with magical and sometimes dangerous events.This book throws the reader into the action at the very start. I was immediately interested in the characters and theA pleasant read with nice characters and an interesting world building. I may continue the series but I prefer to give priority to other books for now.
Tobin Wells lives in a small house with a picket fence, high in the trees, all of the sudden the ground rumbles, an explosion occurs, A mole who works for Magic Mole Mail Delivery is in the tunnel when it explodes. During the explosion it seems The Magic Mirror Network has been affected and now all the mirrors are broken. The explosion seems to have been caused by the golden orb Mole was delivering. MAGICIAN'S MAYHEM By R.S. Mollison is a charming, fun read aimed primarily at young adults. I rated it as if I was a young adult. In fact, part of the magic of the story was that it made me feel younger. I believe this was due to the way the author developed the two main characters, Tobin and Darcie. I felt that I was experiencing the story from Darcie's point of view. She was young, therefore, I was young. I even had unusual cravings for muffins, hmmm, must be magic. I read the book aloud withThis was a great, fun, read. Very irreverent, with a strong female main character, who I could really relate to. Although it's aimed at a more juvenile audience, I really enjoyed it. There are funny moments, and some serious moments, without it being too dark. I can't wait for the next book in the series!
