This book is a comprehensive look at fashions over an 80-year period (as it says in the title). Each chapter is headed with a few silhouettes of the gowns worn over that decade, and within each chapter is a mixture of contemporary photographs and drawings (illustrations in various books of the time), and modern photographs of women wearing period clothing. It also has prices beside the modern photos of garments and beside the antique photos, which had me baffled until I read the first few pagesWonderful, wonderful little book.
