When I first moved back to West Yorkshire, someone asked me if I’d heard of Felix. Felix was a famous railway cat, living at Huddersfield Station. I hadn’t heard of Felix, the famous cat. I found my way to Felix’s Facebook page and fell in love with the ball of floof affectionately loved by all worldwide. Felix the Railway Cat is her (Felix is a lady ya know) story.

We find out that there was a massive campaign to get a cat at Huddersfield Station. A couple of the workers were determined to get their way, begging and persuading the management. They needed a cat! It was that simple. Cat lovers will totally understand this. Eventually they got a tiny male kitten to love. Felix the cat was to be the special Pest Controller of the station. This tiny male kitten turned out to be female, hilariously. Felix brightened working days at the station, with her antics, cute behaviour and lovable personality. She brought happiness and magic into their lives, as well as the many passengers who use the station. Imagine their surprise seeing a small cat in the arms of the station workers. This cat grew up and found her confidence around the busy station.

Soon with the excellent Facebook page and the well deserved promotion to senior Pest Controller, Felix became a worldwide sensation. Loved all over the world, everyone can see updates on Felix and her cheeky playful ways. Felix has an army of fans. She gets sent loads of cat pressies, which are happily donated to charities. We all love Felix!

This is a fun and joyful tale of a superstar cat! A must read for every fan of Felix the Railway Cat.

Hmm, this book took me a while to finish. 250 pages for just stories about cats were a few too many for my taste. After 150 I just wanted it to be over. The stories were still cute to read and left me giggling every now and then, even though sometimes repetitive or lengthy (I probably have to learn how to read faster or skim-read). I guess especially for someone who travels to Huddersfield every now and then, this book is special for its special connection to the town. A lesson from the book?

The last two books I read before Felix the Railway Cat, involved females with PTSD and nasty flashbacks of horrible things they had endured. I decided I needed something totally different- this certainly fit the bill! Some of the staff at Huddersfield Station decided they needed a cat. After a long campaign it was agreed that a 'Pest Controller' would be a good addition to the staff. We follow Felix from a tiny new-born kitten to her current status as Star of TV, Theatre, Facebook and of course

3.5ish stars. Review Taken From The Pewter WolfWhen Huddersfield Train Station decided to get a railway cat for their station, they had no idea how the tiny fluffy kitten will affect their lives and the lives of their passengers. From helping a child come out of his shell to providing comfort to a runaway child, Felix changed everyone's lives. But it's a chance friendship with a commuter that brings Felix into the media spotlight and international stardom. I follow Felix the Huddersfield Cat on

Absolutely charming book. For anyone who loves cats, this is a must read. I just want to meet Felix for real now.

Lovely book about how Felix lives her life as a railway cat =^..^=Beautiful 'happy' book to read if you need a break from thrillers, horror etc,

I love a good cat story and I've been following Felix on facebook (not a massive facebook fan, but there's nothing like cat videos sometimes) so this felt like a good piece of floof light reading. It's a sweet story really, about how the staff of Huddersfield train station persuaded the manager to let them get a cat, and how Felix the kitten settled in, the adventures she got up to and how she charmed the staff and the commuters. It's funny to read about how her facebook page got started, and
