This is one of the most shocking books I have read...A great piece of sattire exposing the viel of "decency" of our history and our hypocratic society..."Prajapathikku tooranmutti" this opening line itself captures the essence of this great novel...There are debates over its link to "Emergency" and I would defintely like to believe this would have been an intellectual and creative response to one of the darkest and retrogressive moment of Indian Democracy...Many a connessiours of malayalam literature had given negative reviews and labelled it as "ashleelam" or "abusive",which actually tells the astounding truth that we are so afraid of such Iconoclastic Marvels...A must read for anybody who is willing to relook the past and present of our socio political realties and ready for a "change of perspective"....Rating Of Books ധർമ്മപുരാണം | Dharmapuranam

Dharmapuranam oru kaalaghattathinte kadha matram alla, mattangalkku vidheyamakatha samoohathinte chila adarukalaan. Ava mattamillathe thudarum, "Prajapathiyude theettam" thinay samooha kathirikkunnu. Mattamillathe thudaruka "mattam" matram anenn philosophical fact koodi O V Vijayan velivakkunnu.
It has some powerful, eye-opening kind of satire but it also contains some very disturbing images. This is coming from someone who does not consider himself a prude.
