Description In Pursuance Of Books Light from the Dark

After a year of picking up the pieces of his shattered life, former US Marshal Micah Beasley takes a job as body guard for a spoiled rich kid who can't leave his house. It's a cupcake assignment. He just needs to get back in the game. What can go wrong?

Brilliant and incredibly talented, Christopher (Kit) Auberon wears tragedy as a second skin. Kit is all that's left of a powerful family. Seemingly forgotten he's spent his entire life in seclusion and he likes it that way.

Death threats are a fact of life, but when those threats become real, Micah and Kit are forced to put their differences aside to discover who wants Kit dead. Only to discover that there are monsters in Kit's closet that should never be disturbed.

Criticize Regarding Books Light from the Dark
*Sighs*, I really wanted to like this but oh my goodness it was all over the place and not in a good way. I felt like I was in an incestuous version of Clue. Everybody was related, and not in a good way. I had an issue within the first 5% and 3 grammar errors already, that was not a good look about things. I didn't like the writing it was super choppy, disjointed and completely discombobulated. I got tired of the 20 X thousand mentions of snow, light, and darkness. Also if a person has to keep

Ms Celeste writes to a formula and that's not necessarily bad; basically you get interesting likeable characters, hot sexual discovery then a drama-llama invasion at around 60%. A few of her books I've loved. Here the characters were likeable but the sexual discovery felt a bit odd, without any tangible chemistry. And it needed a strong connection considering other issues. But they were interesting enough that flaws aside I really enjoyed the story up until that 60% mark, until then it was a

I would have given this book an enthusiastic four stars if it had been just a bit more...competent. Not really in terms of technical merit, though heavens knows this needed an editor (too/to confusion, comma problems, etc.), but mostly the fact that the story just doesn't seem to have any polish whatsoever. Micah is brought in as a bodyguard for Chris, and yet he never really does any guarding of Chris' body. Um. At least, that isn't in a purely sexual way. Except for that one time with the

Overall book rating: 4 Stars Audio book: Narrator - Derick McClain - 4 Stars Book Cover: 3 Stars MC1: Micah AKA Beastly MC2: Christopher AKA KitFuckety Fuck fuck this book had me in a spin!!!! It was Dark, it was Light and every freaking color in between. It was up and it was down, It was funny and sad and crazy all at once!!!I loved it - I hated it!!!I was laughing - I was crying!I was happy - I was sadI wanted to hug - I wanted to kill!I wanted more - I wanted it to stop!

REVIEWED FOR LOVE BYTES4.5 StarsThis is my third time reading Light From Dark but my first time on audio Derrick McClain did a superb job with the narration, all 12 and a half hours of it, and its definitely one I will be listening to again.Mercy Celeste excels at writing damaged MCs who have fraught lives and uneasy futures. Here we have a double whammy as both MCs are damaged and the family, I use that word loosely, that surrounds them, certainly Kits, is built upon lies, deception and dark

Ever pick up a book with no expectations, then have it pound into you like a runaway train! That's how I would describe this book. Micah Beasley is no longer a U.S. Marshall after a job he is on goes sideways resulting in the death of a child. Christopher(Kit) Auberon is a very rich and talented recluse. Kit's uncle hires Micah as a bodyguard for Kit. It seems like a no brainer of a job, till Micah finds out that Kit is mute. His mutism and isolation stem from the brutal death of his parents

There was a lot going on in this book. Heaps of twists and turns and by the end I was like...and eventually I was just ....I liked the two main characters. Kit/Christian was an emotional basket case at times and Micah was his rock. The romance side was sweet and sexy but the rest of it - meh! (view spoiler)[(Too many he slept with, she slept with, he killed, she married, he married etc etc.) (hide spoiler)]To sum up this book I'd say it was like Beauty & the Beast on the set of Bold &
