As Long as We Both Shall Live (April Lancaster #1-2)
April thought she and Mark would be together forever. But since Mark’s death, April has never felt more alone. Then Brandon Benedict comes into her life. Brandon is lonely and angry—he and April have a lot in common. But April cannot tell Brandon about her illness. When April’s medical problems suddenly return, she
must decide what to tell Brandon. Can the love she’s felt before help her now?
This book was a very sad book. Although this book was heartbreaking it was really good. This started with a girl named April and a guy named Mark. She ends up getting diagnosed a brain tumor. She met a guy named Mark while she was in the hospital. Mark ended up getting hurt in a car crash and April was sad from that. If you like sad books like this i think you should read it.
It was the first book I ever read. At least one that I wanted to read without it being forced on me by evil school teachers. :) I've read it twice the first time I was in grade 8 and the second it was probably grade 10. I loved the character Mark the first time I read it. I rooted for him then the second time I guess because I was older I much preferred Brandon. I continued to read Lurlene McDaniel books and they never disappointed me.

I loved the book and this author is general. This book among others in the collection never failed to make me cry and shake my fists at fate. Nonetheless it does highlight that not all sad stories need to have a happiness-for-everyone ending to be considered a good book. The book and series was bittersweet and it opened me up to reading other genres as I grew older.
Oh wow, I loved this book! I think that the first was better than the second, but they came really close within each other. It made me cry so much! Lurlene McDaniel, in these two novels, tells of how the unexpected and unfair things that happen to us, and that also you can love two people at the same time. I recommend it to anyone who loves Lurlene McDaniel's works, or even new fans. It made a great read.

AWWWW!!!!!!That's exactly what i said, really really loudly, when Mark proposed!! It was so sweet! I thought that this book was a little bit too fast paced. It seemed like the author was rushing things a bit too much. One minute a car accident, BOOM, the next minute shes in a wedding dress and he's dead.one more complaint is that all of the character traits that mark had seemed to transfer over to brandon, like "his charming, infectious personality that made her smile even though she didnt wantThis book was a very sad book.
