Narrative Concering Books The Teen Vogue Handbook: An Insider's Guide to Careers in Fashion

I must admit, when I first saw this book in the fashion shelves at Indigo with my good friend Julia, I did not want to buy it. I was intrigued, but I said to myself "Well, Linnéa, it is Teen Vogue. Don't expect too much." So I decided to borrow it from the library instead, and boy, am I glad I gave this book a chance. It is so comprehensive, smart, clear and fun, that I will go far enough to say that A) I am absolutely going to buy this book and B) Anyone who loves fashion and/or who has ever considered going into fashion as a career should read this book. Even if you have a just a little smidge of interest. I am planning on going to fashion school in September myself, and this book has been extremely helpful. I am extremely impressed. Hooray for Teen Vogue!!!

Piece Of Books The Teen Vogue Handbook: An Insider's Guide to Careers in Fashion
DNF I though this would be a good resource, especially since I read many good reviews on it, but it wasn't in the end. I thought this book would be a guide to different fashion careers: list different careers, what they are/do, tips on becoming one, but it was basically just interviews of famous successful people in these different fashion careers. I don't want to read about a bunch of success stories because the majority of people do not do so well, and I want practical tips on designing or

TEEN VOGUE HANDBOOK FIRST EDITIONI get every Teen Vogue issue, and I'm obsessed. I love it all and it's so fun and inspiring to read! This book is a guide to the industry of fashion. Although insights from the designers were fascinating, the advice given both by them and the book itself were often rather vague. Also I found that certain points were repeated several times as if to fill up space, which wasn't really necessary. I think it would have been improved with points more sharply honed, such as exactly what constitutes as a good, strong portfolio, and what one can expect as an intern.

This books really good for those who want to gain more knowledge about the field of fashion. I personally enjoyed reading about my favorite designers/photographers experience on getting where they are today.

[coffee table book] very good book if you're a teenager and you would like to work in the fashion industry
