Representaion During Books The Prophecy (Divinity Stone #1)
The people of Shiloh, Virginia thought it was just a story. A legend to keep children from misbehaving. A challenge to prove you have courage. What they didn't know was that it was real.
All of it was real.
When Starlette McKinley moved from the sparkling lights of LA to the sleepy town of Shiloh, she didn't know that she would be the catalyst. She didn't know that the rage and energy pulsing through her would be the key to unleashing an unsurmountable power that would either be the saving of mankind, or its destruction.
The blood will run, and the prophecy will be revealed. But will she be able to overcome the insurmountable odds? Or will she succumb to the energy within, welcoming the darkness that has become her only friend.

I was excited to read this story because I am always game for a good YA book series and I am happy to say it did not disappoint. I really liked Star. She is an edgy, sarcastic, dramatic teenager who is trying to figure out what is wrong with her. What she does know is that there is something dark inside of her that is causing things to happen and people to get hurt. Star and her family literally move across the country from L.A. to Shiloh, V.A., just to give get a second chance at a normal life. The Prophecy by Desiree DeOrto is an amazing beginning to a series. The story focuses on Starlette, or Star as she likes to be called. Since her 17th birthday, Star has been having "incidents" happen. She doesn't understand these incidents or the strange things that happen when she has an incident. After a very serious incident, Star and her parents move to Shiloh, VA for a fresh start. From the beginning, I loved Star. She is angry and upset and sarcastic, but she's also scared and caring and
I loved the story of this book. The opening chapter of the book is interesting. It's the reason that made me want to read more of what will happen next. Can't wait what will happen next.I love the main character, Starlette McKinley a.k.a. Star.. I love how the author, Desiree, brought Star to life. The minor characters are also perfect in a sense that they are not what we sometimes encounter (for example predictable, good nature, typical personalities that sometimes we thought it's boring). One of

The beginning of this book really pulled me in. I found myself immediately traveling into Sarah's fantastical world of witches and wizards, and then into Starlette's modern world where the power of her ancestors is nothing more than a legend. All the characters were unique and I enjoyed that the main character didn't fall instantly in love with every hot guy she saw. The two friends were enjoyable. I definitely want to know more about them and I hope to see them in book two. This story ended
This book is amazing. I am so glad I got a chance to review this book. You will be left speechless and craving for more. The way Desiree DeOrto writes draws you in. She weaves a wonderful story that will captivate you I fell in love with the story and finished it in one sitting. The heroine... Star is still trying to understand what the changes happening to her, the darkness consuming her could mean. Star is a strong heroine still learning about herself and you can't help falling in love with
A review copy was provided for an honest review. The thing about The Prophecy is that I had very mixed feelings about it. I was drawn to the cover the second I laid eyes upon it, but I also had such high expectations. These expectations were somewhat met because I did enjoy the story but I had a couple of minor issues with it. Almost instantly I wanted to know what was going on with the protagonist Starlette, and why she is so angry all the time. Her behavior made me curious, and I enjoyed
