How we all wish this world was a bar!I heard "madhushala" sung in the voice of Manna Dey as a teenager, though i couldnt understand the deeper meaning involved,i certainly did love the words! The only other poem i read of Bachhan was the one listed in my university curriculum. Finally ,now i picked up his anthology and was mesmerised, he belonged to the "Chhayavaad" period and has penned down some excellent poems, such striking imagery woven into magnetic words. As we progess there is a visible difference in his works of the later years, personally i am biased towards the earlier works, they had a different charm altogether. My favourite amongst these are 'Madhushala', 'Madhubala','Nisha Nimantran', 'Ekaant Sangeet', 'Halaahal', 'Tribhangima'. The bottom line remains, you cant be a true hindi literature worshipper if you havent read his poems.Mention Books Toward मेरी श्रेष्ठ कविताएँ

बचचन का जनम 27 नवमबर 1907 को इलाहाबाद से सटे परतापगढ जिले के एक छोटे से गाँव बाबूपटटी में एक कायसथ परिवार मे हुआ था इनके पिता का नाम परताप नारायण शरीवासतव तथा माता का नाम सरसवती देवी था इनको बालयकाल में 'बचचन' कहा जाता था जिसका शाबदिक अरथ 'बचचा' या 'संतान' होता है बाद में ये इसी नाम से मशहूर हुए इनहोंने कायसथ पाठशाला में पहले उरदू की शिकषा ली जो उस समय कानून की डिगरी के लिए पहला कदम माना जाता थाReview soon.Good collection of poems by Shri. Bachchan. I repented my lack of Hindi vocabulary due to which I was unable to grasp all the poems, but still I enjoyed those which I understood.
ultimate..... if you love hindi poems.this is best you can have......Is par priye tum ho madhu hai us par na jane kya hoga...
