Relation Supposing Books After Twenty Years

If you are antiquated with O, Henry and his story structure then its will be hard to believe that you dont like him. Its hard to shun a story with sensible twist in the end.

About this story i would like to say that as the story commenced i was like:

And I just knew i was about to get something amazing out of this.

However, the end was more than amazing. I was actually like:

I just wish there was something more to it, but it was too brief - too brief to annoy and to amazing to amuse. And WOW my review is also too brief. :-P

Crit Based On Books After Twenty Years
All the words backstabbing, twisted, and mysterious all describe the book "After Twenty Years". When I first read this book it made me question myself, would I ever do something like that? This book is about two friends who made a committment when they were teenagers that in twenty years that day they would meet again in front of a theatre.Through the twenty years the two never heard from each other. Then twenty years later that day it was a rainy night one of the friends sat outside the theatre

Great use of irony at the end. Another good one from O. Henry!

Any short story by this guy is always amazing !!:)

I loved this short story!

Before there was M. Night Shyamalan, there was O. Henry, the OG of the twist ending. And this short story holds his most considered twist. He's my new favorite short story writer.

This story was wonderful! And it doesn't do it justice, but I did my best to get my takeaway thoughts into a haiku:"Beliefs shape our lives,And the boy may not quite matchThe man he becomes."

My 13 year old told me to read this short story. I'm so glad he did. We are looking forward to checking out many more short stories by this classic author.
