Explanation Supposing Books Per Isabel.

Sweet little book but what did I just read? Did he not know she died? Were they together? I'm left confused but even with that, I enjoyed the read. May be a book to read twice. The novel discusses the period of the Portuguese dictator Salizar and how he was chasing the constructive ideas and seeking to liberate and fall in the state towards a quagmire of corruption, tyranny and utter failure ... Trying The hero search for Isabel, who was arrested by the authorities and moves from one country to another until he receives and meets him .. But he surprises in the end that she died after saying goodbye to him .. Note that the author is a mystical tendency and tends to
A strange novel, but beautiful and poetic like a little mandala. Describing the fleetiness of life and memories. What stays of a human or this book? Only a shadow.

I've previously read Tabucchi's short story collection "Time Ages in a Hurry." He has an interesting imagination and some intriguing lines. But I confess I can't really understand his work as it's full of references I barely catch. There's the Polish poet Slowacki (whom I haven't read), who says he is from various constellations (Sirius; the Greater Dog). What other real-life personages have I missed? Is the astrophysicist Lise meant to be Lise Meitner? Would love some answers/interpretations!
And yet another reason why Anotioni Tabucchi keeps climbing to the top of my favorite writers of all time list. In my list of writers I love, he's the tortoise that might climb to the top. The more I read him, the more in awe I am. This short novella left me stunned (as his best work does). Of his books which I've read, this is in my top three, though certainly doesn't touch my two favorites (Requiem and Pereira Declares). Still, this book contains all the best things about his writings and
Ignore the promotional materials: this is not in the spirit of Rashomon, but is instead a linear detective story of sorts, willfully minor, increasingly vague. The idea (a charismatic woman shifts identities and a dogged narrator tracks her down through a series of interviews) is strong, but the surreality in the 3rd act (mystics start to abound) took away from the rootedness that I enjoyed in the first half. There is some excellent writing on photographs and food, but I found myself starting to
