This is a wonderful book on marriage. It's actually one of the best I've read because it's written by a husband and wife who have been married for three decades and have been through a lot in that time. They have been separated, almost divorced, but used the Word of God to bring restoration back to their marriage.I really like how honest and open this couple is. I dont normally read this type of books but I was intrigued by this one. My first marriage was on the brinks of divorce before my late husbands early departure from this world and now that I have started a new journey with a new spouse, Ive been eager to make sure this marriage doesnt lead down the same path. Over the last two years, Ive witnessed a terrific rise in divorces here in the States and around the Western part of the globe. This was a very interesting look at regaining the love you once had in your marriage based on biblical principles. It addressed infidelity, physical abuse, and other issues. It did not address verbal abuse, alcoholism, and the unwillingness of your spouse to forgive even as you forgive them. It seems to place the primary responsibility on the wronged spouse. I think it would be a good choice for couples to read in pre-marital counseling.
