They pitch me books all of the time and, unfortunately, I have to decline a lot of them because they just dont fit my reading preferences and what I feel like my readers want to read about. I jumped at the idea of this book because I think there is not enough writing about the issue of domestic abuse and the worldwide trend of women being seen, and treated, as second class citizens. Frankly, I was somewhat disappointed with what I got. The characters, almost without exception, were portrayed as either good or bad (Hassad being the only character who experienced any kind of personal journey or redemption).I found that the book simplified a lot of the issues relating to treatment of
