Relation Concering Books The Darkening (The Divided Realms #2)
Life is returning to normal since Willow defeated the faerie prince who had ensnared Mistolear in a deadly game. She is refining her skills at Mage School and spending time with her new friends, especially Brand, the handsome knight who has sworn to protect her. Unfortunately, he also drives her mad with his old-fashioned rules about "proper courtship."The peace does not last, however, as a misstep in Clarion dooms Willow to play another twisted faerie game. If she loses, faeries will once again be free to wreak havoc in the realms of Mistolear and Earth. The Game Master, King Jarlath of the Unseelie Court, throws Willow and Brand into the Goblin's Gauntlet where goblins, phookas and a host of bloodthirsty creatures are on the hunt. In a surprising move, Jarlath sends his own children into the game as well. Dacia, the female twin, is ruthless and cunning. Theon, the male, is clever, flirtatious and, like all faeries, devastatingly beautiful. Willow struggles to resist Theon's charm, while Brand's jealousy simmers--but with the fate of two realms hanging in the balance, both must push their emotions aside. Can Willow and Brand trust the faerie siblings, or is there more than one game being played?

Now, you know I loved Captured, the first book in The Divided Realms series, but now you can check out my thoughts on The Darkening, too.The Darkening was a thrilling sequel to the Divided Realms series.I am so dishearted when I couldn't find the third book of this series, because I was OBSESSED with this book series back in the day. I went to Borders (in the states) and bought the first two books. They were two of the first books I bought with my own money at a bookstore. Then, Borders left that mall and I thought I would never find the books again (since my local Canadian bookstores didn't carry them, and I wasn't aware at the
2nd book in a series about a normal teenage Earth girl who discovers shes a princess in the medieval land of Mistolear. The curse that forced Willows family to play a life-threatening game of chess is broken. But the faeries arent done playing other sorts of games with Willow and those she cares about. In bk2, we learn a lot more about faerie society and politics. Their world is one of deception and intrigue, of cunning and psychological games, where loyalties are hidden, sometimes even from

It was totally amazing! It is one of my favourite books.

You know I loved Captured, but trust that The Darkening is just as good. I read it 4 years ago, but I've never forgotten how much I loved it, so I'm excited to see that it's available in print and eBook again.
