Narration Supposing Books Abby's Vampire (Motor City Vampires #1)

The reasons I chose to read this are obvious.

around.

There are a few issues I have with this story. First, I appreciate that the author had a foreword mentioning she tries to prevent typos, but if you point out any to her she will correct them and publish a new edition. However, this should not happen. If you are thinking of publishing, find yourself an OCD friend and make them read it. The time to correct typos is before publishing, not in new editions. I wish I had paid attention to which edition was the latest one. There were several glaring typos in the edition I read, I just ignored them because I thought I was reading an older edition.

Which leads me to my next issue. I admit, the mistake is on me. I should never assume. But I honestly assumed the title Abby's Vampire was changed. It isn't a real title. Yes, I know this sounds hypocritical because I only read this story because of the title. I only read this because my name is Abby. A very small percentage of the world is actually named Abby. If I weren't named Abby, I would never take this book seriously. Abby's Vampire sounds like a working title used while the project was being developed. Not a ready to be published title. The more I think about this the more it bothers. The more I think the author published this series before she was ready.

Rushing to publish aside, I actually really enjoyed this. Part of that is because of my really low expectations. But part of that is also the actual story. It was different than most vampire romances. It wasn't bogged down by a lot of back story or details of vampire society. In fact, my favorite part was the way the author bounced back and forth between present day and the past. Normally I hate when this is done, but I actually really enjoyed it in this book. It wasn't tedious, disruptive, or boring.

I will not be continuing with this series only because I loathe the character in book 2. How he got away with not getting in trouble for what he did boggles my mind. He is to blame for everything that happened in the first book. But instead of being held accountable, he apparently gets told, "It is okay because you really love her" and gets to be book 2. Well, Nope. You are being punished Enri, because this Abby is done with you.

Criticism Based On Books Abby's Vampire (Motor City Vampires #1)
The best thing I can say about this book is that I actually finished it.This book had so much potential in terms of storyline, but it was decimated by a juvenile writing style and poor editing. And I will limit my comments to that.

I'm going to say this books is just average. I liked the idea of the story, the whole love and first sight is always used. There needed to be more romance, and the story between Javon and Maurice was lacking. I liked all of the characters, so I will read the next book with fingers crossed that the story is alittle better.

ARe freebie - 1.75 starsARe book summary: Abby meets Javon a Vampire near a bar in Detroit when she literally runs right into him. There is an immediate attraction. Javon knows Abby is the one for him, can he convince Abby he's the one for her too.Abby Montgomery bumps into Javon Bouvier while heading to a bar. Since he's on the way to the same bar, they go together. Abby's friend cancels their date at the last minute, and Javon conveniently steps in to keep her company. Their attraction is

Meh...Very choppy. It had too many characters and it wasn't long enough to give each one enough back story. The main character is like I'm a vampire and the other is like omg! Then okay love you in one page. It was free.

the story was ok but too many parts got left out or just skipped over. one minute they would be talking the next they are waking up and its a week later and you have to assume what happens in between.

Making headwayI liked the story of the girl who didn't know her own worth. It makes me realize how many women out there don't see themselves appropriately. Javon was patient and loving I really enjoyed this cute story
